On Saturday Aloysians Senior Ladies team had their game against Phoenix. Aloysians started very strong securing a 6 goal lead in the first 5 minutes. Right winger Rebecca Bonello's attacks were frequent and were right on target. As the game proceeded, the opponents were getting more in the game and Aloysians' motivation started decreasing its strength even though Aloysians were always leading by a solid margin of goals. The half time score was 6 - 17 for the Aloysians. However, the Aloysians' coach Ionella Barcanescu wanted more team-play from her players, more constructed attacks and a more solid defence. During the second half, Aloysians came out stronger and were more concise. Sarah Scicluna had also a good game for the Aloysians. The end result was 12-31 for the girls in White. The Player of the Match was Marylyn Agius, Aloysians' Goal Keeper who did a good job securing the Aloysians' goal-post.
On Sunday, Aloysians U15 boys had also their game against Phoenix. The Aloysians were always in control of the game and went in the lead from the early minutes of the game. Their attacks was solid and were creating lots of problems for the opponents. Aloysians' defence was also impeccable leaving very little space for the opponents to play. Jake Ciantar scored 10 goals for the Aloysians and was also nominated player of the match. The end result was 5-27 for the boys in red.
